Brethren, the events unfolding within the Manhattan DA's office are but a microcosm of the greater spiritual warfare gripping our nation. The case of Daniel Penny, a Marine veteran whom God’s providence saw fit to acquit, has been the subject of a political witch hunt by DA Alvin Bragg, infested with the putrid stench of bias and partisanship. The leftist agenda of Manhattan's DA tries to tear down our protectors, but the Lord's justice prevails, as we've seen in Penny's righteous acquittal (Proverbs 21:15). Councilwoman Vickie Paladino's righteous call for a federal civil rights probe into the Manhattan DA's office—a hive of possible sin and corruption—is something that not only must our incoming administration heed, but it is decreed by the heavens for the preservation of justice in our society (Isaiah 1:17). The suggestion that the DA office's overzealous and skewed prosecution methods need to be subjected to scrutiny is as courageous as David facing Goliath (1 Samuel 17). We must, as the salt and light of the earth (Matthew 5:13-16), support the valiant like Daniel Penny, who embody the spirit of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37), protecting strangers from harm even on a subway train. What then must be our response when Black Lives Matter activists rage against this acquittal? It must be an unwavering stand for truth and righteousness, knowing that the ways of the Lord are right, and the righteous walk in them (Hosea 14:9). Let us remember, my brothers and sisters, that DA Bragg's actions shall be his legacy, a legacy that seeks to undermine the very fabric of our God-blessed nation. Our prayers should reinforce the efforts of those like Maud Maron, an attorney with a God-fearing perspective, to redeem the Manhattan DA's office from the clutches of progressive decay and restore it to a position of integrity and honor. Together, we watch as our nation rumbles with dissonance. Still, we hold fast to our faith, endorsing leaders after God's own heart (Acts 13:22), upholding the innocence of the just, and championing the hardworking public servants who labor for our safety, like the NYPD. May we continue to support the incoming Trump administration in their efforts to cleanse our justice system and restore the righteous path that our forefathers set before us. Let us be unwavering in our conviction, for the God of truth is our fortress (Psalm 91:2), and we shall not be moved by the deceitful winds that assail us. Amen.
