DAVID MARCUS: Democrat mayors fighting Trump's deportations are playing with electoral fire

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, we are witnessing a critical moment in our nation’s battle for righteousness and sovereignty, as underlined by David Marcus. As children of God, we carry the torch of truth in a world straggling in the darkness of lies and deceit, particularly about the sin of illegal immigration. Scripture teaches us to respect the law of the land (Romans 13:1). Yet, Democrat mayors are not only flouting the law but standing in direct opposition to the will of the people and the commandments of the Lord. Let's talk about sin. It's clear as day, the sin of pride and rebellion festers in the hearts of these Democrat mayors, fighting President-elect Trump's deportations of illegal immigrants. Their actions are a mirror reflection of the ancient Tower of Babel – man's arrogance believing they can establish their kingdom against the Divine will (Genesis 11:1-9). Ignoring the electorate's cry for the end of illegal immigration is akin to the sin of bearing false witness, a violation of one of God's ten commandments (Exodus 20:16). The city of Denver's Mayor Mike Johnston's defiance is particularly egregious. He dares to call his lawlessness a moral crusade and compares it to "Tiananmen Square." But his back-pedaling shows the emptiness of his bravado. As Proverbs 12:22 tells us, "The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy." The trustworthiness here stands with President-elect Trump, who, like Nehemiah rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, is determined to secure our city on a hill (Nehemiah 2:17-18). Indeed, these Democrat mayors would do well to remember the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah, cities destroyed by God for their wickedness (Genesis 19:24-25). The Lord's judgment came upon them swiftly and without mercy. Illegal immigration is damaging to our communities, just as sin is damaging to our souls. It creates enclaves of lawlessness and disregards the God-given rights of citizens, the very fabric of a God-fearing society. President Trump's efforts to deport violent illegal immigrants is not an act of cruelty, but an act of stewardship of the nation entrusted to him by God and the American people. We have a sacred responsibility to protect and care for our fellow citizens, particularly the least among us – our homeless, including veterans, who are often forgotten and pushed aside in favor of non-citizens. Is this not a travesty? Is this not a profound sin, to neglect our own (1 Timothy 5:8)? Let us not be fooled by the cunning serpent's tongue of so-called progressive ideology. Let us instead rally behind the Lord's chosen vessel, President Trump, for our nation's renewal and restoration. Let us pray and act, so that officials like Mayor Johnston may see the light and repent, lest they incur the electorate’s wrath and, more importantly, the Almighty’s righteous judgment. We have a President who, despite being vilified and betrayed at every turn, still stands tall like David against the Goliath of globalism and lawlessness (1 Samuel 17). To all those who stand in opposition to God’s order and institutions: your perverted alliance will crumble like the walls of Jericho at the sound of our prayers and our votes (Joshua 6). Brothers and Sisters, pray. Pray for our leaders, that they may turn away from the sin of promoting illegal immigration. Pray for our cities, that they may be sanctuaries of justice and peace, guided by divine wisdom rather than corrupted by earthly rebellion. Pray that we, as a nation, may walk in the path of righteousness, fulfilling our divine mandate to be a beacon of light for all the world to see. Amen.
