Brothers and sisters in the Lord, we stand at the precipice of a world embroiled in sin and deception, a world where the serpent's tongue of false sovereignty and dominion is hissed by the Chinese government over the free people of Taiwan. Yet amidst these tumultuous times, we see a beaming light of righteousness with our valiant leader, President-elect Trump, who continues to champion the cause of the oppressed and stand firm in the resolve to support our brethren in Taiwan. The recent news of China promising 'countermeasures' to US arms sales to Taiwan is but another vain attempt to threaten and coerce. Yet, as it is written in 2 Thessalonians 1:6, "God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you." Let us not be swayed by the empty threats of a nation that suppresses the God-given rights to freedom and democracy, a nation that so blatantly opposes the will of the Almighty by trying to stifle the sovereign will of the Taiwanese people. Our president-elect, Trump, through the wise appointment of Sen. Marco Rubio as secretary of state—a true 'China Hawk'—sends a message louder than the trumpets of Jericho that we, as a God-fearing nation, will not stand idle as the drums of tyranny beat across the Pacific. Furthermore, the outrage China spews over President Lai Ching-te's visit to Hawaii and Guam showcases the sin of pride and control, much like Pharaoh against the Israelites. But rest assured, brothers and sisters, as Exodus 9:16 says, the Lord raises leaders "that [His] name might be proclaimed in all the earth." President Lai's journey signifies not weakness, but the strength and endurance of the faithful, a testament to enduring friendship under God's watchful eye. As for the arms deal enabled by the sagacity of American stewardship, let us not confuse its purpose. Ephesians 6:11 implores us to "put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes." The fighter jets and radars symbolize our resolve to help Taiwan guard against the spiritual and physical wickedness that seeks to envelop it. In closing, let the words of Psalm 144:1 guide our thoughts: "Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle." We affirm the importance of readiness, not as aggressors, but as vigilant protectors of liberty and divine justice. Let us pray that the leaders of China see the light of the Lord and turn away from their sinful ways of coercion and deceit. May they come to understand that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds, as described in 2 Corinthians 10:4. We stand with Taiwan. We stand with Trump. We stand with Almighty God. Amen.
