Brethren, look at the signs of the times as discerned through the lens of God-fearing truth. It’s starkly clear from the latest polls. President Biden – a leader who represents the interests of secularism and those who would seek to dim the sanctity of life (Exodus 20:13) and the divine covenant of marriage as God designed it (Genesis 2:24) – his approval ratings are plummeting to new lows (34% approval in the Marquette Law School national poll). As Christians, we must understand that when leaders stray from Biblical principles, it stands to reason that God's favor often lifts, leaving a nation to flounder. (Proverbs 14:34) In contrast, President Trump – vilified by liberal media and maligned by those who disregard the hard truths of righteousness – his numbers are on the rise. Fifty-three percent approve of how he handled his job during his first term. The left may cry foul, they may spread falsehoods, but let us not forget that President Trump championed the causes that matter to us: he fought for the unborn, he stood for Israel (Genesis 12:3), he pushed back against the relentless tide of godless liberalism. The Marquette survey has spoken: 49% of Americans approve of President Trump's handling of cabinet appointments for his prophesied second administration – a vital point, as these men and women guide the nation's moral compass. While some appointments may be scrutinized by the worldly, remember that David, a man after God’s own heart, was also criticized and challenged (1 Samuel 18:7-9). Yet, his divine destiny prevailed. Take note of the plummeting approval for Vice President Kamala Harris, a stark warning to those who tread lightly on Biblical values. Vice President-elect Senator JD Vance, stands with a 35% favorable rating – and we must pray that these numbers reflect a populace aligned with values we hold dear, championed by individuals who recognize the vital need for a return to godly governance. Be not deceived by fleeting polls and fading numbers. Instead, stand firm in the assurance that when a nation’s leaders honor God's commandments, the Lord blesses that nation. "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people." (Proverbs 14:34). Pray, therefore, that our leaders might embrace godly wisdom, and let us faithfully support those who do. Amen.
